Sean Mullin Executive Produces THE FIGHT TO FIGHT

THE FIGHT TO FIGHT team is thrilled to announce award-winning filmmaker Sean Mullin has come aboard as Executive Producer to guide the film through the complex distribution process to ensure it maximizes reach and impact with audiences.

Mullin is not only an experienced filmmaker with several prominent films under his belt, but he is also a 1997 graduate of West Point. During his time as an active duty artillery officer, he was based in Germany, and while in the National Guard, he was stationed at Ground Zero to serve as a first responder after the attacks of September 11th.

Today, Mullin is a founder of Five By Eight Productions and a busy filmmaker. As a director and writer, his character-driven feature films include Amira & Sam and Semper Fi. His documentaries include It Ain’t Over, about the life and career of New York Yankee hall-of-famer Yogi Berra, and Brothers on Three, which follows a West Point rugby team defending its national championship. (For more information about Mullin click here.)

Mullin brings a wealth of experience to THE FIGHT TO FIGHT team in the critical area of selecting the right players and strategy to help maximize the film’s marketing, promotion and distribution efforts. The independent film industry is experiencing major disruptions today making it extremely challenging to get a documentary shown to a wide audience.

Although Mullin has multiple projects of his own in the works, he has made a huge impact on our upcoming fall screening plan and been a major contributor to our overall release strategy as we prepare for our 2027 official premiere.

Private Screenings Set to Celebrate Veteran’s Day

To help honor Veterans Day and draw attention to important issues currently affecting the military, THE FIGHT TO FIGHT is set to be featured in four private screenings: Los Angeles, the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and two in New York. Several other screenings in New York and Washington are also in the works, and we hope to firm them up soon.

  • November 6 – Family and friends of the film will host a private screening and fund raiser in an intimate location in Los Angeles.

  • November 7 – A private screening and discussion with co-producer Dr. Ellen Haring will take place at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The screening will be free for members and guests of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Soldier On, local VFW posts, Zonta International, and Berkshire Veterans for Peace.

  • November 9 – Women in International Security (WIIS) will sponsor a private screening in Manhattan’s financial district that will include a panel discussion with women featured in the film and other service women. This event will serve as a soft launch of the WIIS New York chapter.

  • November 10 – The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) will sponsor a private screening at the CFR’s New York headquarters that will include a panel discussion moderated by former CNN anchor Kitty Pilgrim. CFR is the pre-eminent foreign and international security institution in the United States with members who engage at the highest levels of government.

  • November 11 – Regal Cinemas, the second largest movie theater chain in the U.S., is planning a special Veterans Day preview screening at 7 pm in its Union Square theater in New York followed by a film team Q and A. More details to come.

  • November 11 – Regal Cinemas is also set for a special Veterans Day preview screening in its Gallery Place Cinema in Washington, D.C. at 7 pm. More details to come.

What Lies Ahead

Over the next few months, we hope to collaborate with many organizations and supporters of the film who are actively battling to preserve the place women have earned in the combat arms.

We are seeking help from organizations with memberships who care about issues that are impacting the current direction of the military, especially its treatment of women.

You can help by offering to host private screenings and/or fundraisers for the film prior to its official premiere. This will help us pave the way for reaching as many people as possible and building interest for broad release in the first quarter of 2027.

To contact us for hosting a private screening or fundraiser, please send a message to info@thefighttofight.com. You can also contact us if you are able to spread the word about the film through an organization’s newsletter or mailing list. We can send you a press kit to use for developing accurate and informative content for dissemination.

My deepest thanks go to Sean Mullin for joining our team as Executive Producer. Because of his amazing experience and contacts, we are creating an ambitious distribution plan to ensure the true story about the exceptional women in combat arms will reach as many people as possible.

The coming months will be busy for THE FIGHT TO FIGHT team, with much work ahead as we create a plan for future screenings and an exciting premiere in 2027. If you are able to help us maximize our efforts to mount a strong education and impact campaign, please click here to make a donation.
