Big News: THE FIGHT TO FIGHT Receives a Major Grant to Fund Post-Production

Film Composer Larry Groupé Is Set to Create Original Music for THE FIGHT TO FIGHT

In a major coup for THE FIGHT TO FIGHT documentary, Larry Groupé, one of the most talented and experienced film score composers working in entertainment today, is set to create original music for the film. Groupé’s impressive resume includes composing music for films, television and the concert stage. He is shown, above, conducting in the renowned Abbey Road studio.

We are delighted to announce THE FIGHT TO FIGHT documentary has been awarded a second major grant from The Pritzker Military Foundation. This new grant will be used to support the post-production phase of the documentary, a resource-intensive part of quality filmmaking, and will help us push the film over the finish line.

This remarkable grant is structured as a $50,000 gift, along with a $50,000 matching “challenge” grant, which doubles the impact of future contributions by matching the next $50,000 in donations dollar-for-dollar. The Pritzker Military Foundation’s generous award builds on the strong momentum that carried us through principal photography and all the way to the final on-location shoot in September.

“Through Pritzker Military Foundation, I am proud to support THE FIGHT TO FIGHT documentary to preserve and honor the historic integration of women into combat arms. Our hope is that our gift and challenge grant helps incentivize even more donors to get on board and support this impactful project as well as current donors to go above and beyond.” - Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer N. Pritzker (Retired), Founder Pritzker Military Foundation

Our entire team is incredibly grateful to the partnership we have forged with the Pritzker Military Foundation, which has now provided us with two large grants and a firm foundation to complete the film without sacrificing quality.

This second grant comes at a time when funding sources for social-justice-oriented, independent documentaries are experiencing major cutbacks. Most of the granting institutions we have previously applied to have either postponed giving grants or cancelled them outright. This makes the Pritzker Military Foundation’s gift and challenge grant so critically important.

You Make a Huge Difference

We are equally grateful to the more than 120 generous donors in our growing community of supporters. You are helping us amplify the voices and stories of the extraordinary women who made history by breaking through the brass ceiling in U.S. military combat units.

I would like to extend a special thanks to those donors who were able to contribute $10,000 or more, including:

• Jonathan C. Clark and Theresa Tierney Clark - Clark Family Fund

• Mitch and Mary Lou Horwat

• Santa Barbara International Film Festival Filmmaker Fund/Vérasion Fund

• Larry Williams, Ph.D.

There are too many individual donors to thank here by name, however I want you to know our deepest appreciation goes out to everyone who has contributed to the making of this film. Your generosity, passion and encouragement have given us the strength to persevere through the long process of completing a 90-miinute documentary film that I believe we will all be proud of. Full Steam Ahead: Assembly, Rough Cut and Post-Production

Thanks to the amazing support we have received throughout the filmmaking process, we have not had to delay forward momentum due to lack of funds. Currently, editor Mark Romanov is deep into the assembly phase and is quickly heading toward the rough-cut stage.

By the middle of this month, we will be sending a rough cut to our music composer, Larry Groupé, one of the most talented and experienced film score composers working in entertainment today. Groupé’s impressive resume includes composing, orchestrating or conducting for such films as The Contender, Legally Blonde 2, and the Usual Suspects as well as for such televions series as Commander in Chief, Line of Fire, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. To learn more about Groupé click here.

In December, we plan to show a rough cut to small focus groups to get a sense of audience responses as we prepare to lock the film in a final cut in early 2026.

As noted above, we have received a “challenge” grant of $50,000 that will not be activated unless we raise the matching funds. We will need these funds to finish the film, so please consider supporting our documentary now by donating during this dollar-for-dollar matching window, which will double your gift and help us reach our goal.

With your help we will tell the stories of exceptional women, highlighting their struggles and triumphs as they integrated the U.S. military. Our aim is to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these amazing women so their stories will not be forgotten or erased by the current administration.
